国际信用卡巨头美国运通被曝裁员5400人
据美联社消息，在全球综合金融服务享有盛名的美国运通公司1月10日宣布，将主要针对旅游业务裁员5400人。此举目的在于削减成本，同时鉴于其更多客户转向门户网站办理旅游预订等事宜。该公司借此进行业务调整。
美国运通表示，此次裁员将涉及不同等级的职位，并在世界范围内多个区域展开，但是针对的对象主要是未能为公司带来直接收入的职位。另外，今年新入职的员工数字将部分抵消此次裁员的数字，预计今年的员工数量较2012年将下降4%至6%，而该公司目前共有员工63500人。
“在不均衡的经济复苏背景下，”美国运通总经理肯尼斯 陈纳德在声明中表示，“这些调整措施将令美国运通更加灵活、高效并发挥实效。”
报道称，美国运通为此次调整措施将耗费2.87亿美元(约合人民币18亿元)，该公司还将支付2.12亿美元作为对其持卡人的积分兑奖，另外有大约9500万美元将偿付客户的报销及其他费用。
美国运通同时预测，在考虑开支因素之后，最新一季度财报将会有6.37亿美元的净利业绩，折合每股56美分。排除特别项目的第四季度净利会是12亿美元，合每股1.09美元。
